If you look at the image below, of a sofa that's in good condition except for the threadbare weltiing, you'll see a good reason we don't offer that treatment on our fabric coverings. Welting extends above the surrounding surfaces, is more exposed to abrasion than everything else, and its prematurely poor condition causes an otherwise good piece of furniture to look shabby and/or go to the dump. That sort of waste of resources and money, as well as the greenhouse gas emissions that result when the replacement is made and shipped, is the opposite of what we stand for.
